The Process (in 10 easy steps)
1. 👋 Say hello
When you first reach out via the submission form, text or email, I'll check to see if I have availability on your chosen date and get back to you, either way. If I'm available on your day, and you feel comfortable moving forward, you can book me as your celebrant there and then, OR if you're still unsure, we can arrange a phone chat or a no obligation meeting to answer any questions you may have. This is also a great opportunity for us to connect and ensure you are confident to proceed. Once you book me, I will email you my Welcome Pack and handy Ceremony Guide.
2. 💳Lock in your date
To secure your date, a $100 booking fee is required. A receipt will be issued. Most couples prefer to pay via bank transfer, but I also accept cash payments!
3. ☺️ First catch up 4 -5 months before your wedding
I'll be in touch to arrange our planning meeting, where we will review your ID, discuss your ceremony vision, and start the legal paperwork, all over a cuppa or a glass of wine. 🍷 This meeting usually lasts about an hour, but there's no strict time limit. I aim to schedule these on different days for different couples, ensuring you have time to share your ideas without feeling rushed. You'll also receive your couple questionnaire to take home and reflect on at your own pace, allowing you to consider what to share with your guests. I schedule our meetings close to your wedding day to capture the vibe of your relationship and give me enough time to prepare your ceremony script without pressure.
4. 🍵 Relax!
At this stage, you can relax, nothing further is needed from you. Well, not by me anyway. 😉
5. ✍️Ceremony creation
About 6-8 weeks before your big day, I’ll kick off the script writing based on your answers from the questionnaire. During this time, I’ll be in touch a lot via text, phone, or email to make sure we’ve got all the details right. (let me know how you wish to be contacted) My goal? To make your ceremony absolutely perfect! I’ll send you drafts of each piece for your approval, and I’ll keep you in the loop as we go. In the meantime, if you feel the need to have extra meetings, we can totally make that happen!
6. 🔧Rehearsal (usually within the week prior)
It's getting real now! I always try to make rehearsals fun while fine tuning all the details. Rehearsal day is a great day to kick back and have some fun with your bridal party as well as ensuring everyone is comfortable with their roles: positions, music timing, holding bouquets, ring exchanges, signing paperwork etc. Having a rehearsal is important to help ease nerves which are more likely to hit harder when you don't know the flow of the ceremony or what to expect.
7. 💍 Your wedding day is here!
On your big day, I will arrive at least 45 minutes early to carefully set up, perform thorough sound checks, play your pre-ceremony music, and warmly welcome your guests as they arrive.
8. 🩷 And you enjoy every single moment to the fullest. I've got everything completely and perfectly covered!
9. 💻 I’ll handle the legalities
After the ceremony, I will take care of all the necessary paperwork to officially register your marriage with Births, Deaths, and Marriages. If you’ve requested an official certificate, I’ll order that as well. All you need to do is sit back and relax and settle into your new married life! Within four weeks, your certificate will arrive at your doorstep, confirming that your marriage is officially registered! I can also email you my handy name change guide to make things easier. Just let me know!
10. 👰♀️🤵♀️ Have a blast in your new married life!
It's that easy! And if ever in doubt about what happens next at any stage of the planning process, I'm a phone call or massage away!
"Thank you for everything. You did an amazing job!"
