I am lucky to be a part of a large network of celebrants who I can reach out to in these rare cases. I will do my absolute best to be there on your day but sometimes illness is unavoidable. If the situation arose I would arrange a suitable replacement celebrant for you and ensure all completed paperwork is transferred seamlessly to them. Of course you are also welcome to source your own suitable replacement if you prefer. You would still need to show them your ID again, as required by law.

There are also standard inclusions such as provision of PA, music, commemorative certifcate, early arrival at ceremony for set up, and of course, completion of all legal paperwork and submission to Births Deaths and Marriages. Of course! That is all included in my prices. I will ensure all the legal requirements are taken care of. By the time your reception is starting, you'll find me back at home, dotting the i's and crossing the t's to make sure everything is absolutley compliant before submitting all your documents to the Births Deaths and Marriages. This is when I'll also order your Official Marriage Certifciate if you have requested one. The day after your wedding I will send you the confirmation email from BDM to reassure you everything has been submitted. All you need to to then is sit and wait,and within 4 weeks your marriage should be registered.  

I understand completely! However there are certian legal words that must be said by both marrying parties for your marriage to be legally compliant. There are 21 words in total that must be spoken by you both, and they are "I call upon the persons here present to witness that I (name) take you (name) to be my lawful wedded (husband/wife/partner)" And that's it! Everything else is optional. You don't even have to say your personal vows if you don't wish. Many couples are choosing to say their personal vows privately these days, so that's always an option too. And rest assured, I will be there guiding you through all the components of your ceremony to make it easy for you.
